BEVERLY HILLS, CA —Beverly Hills was chosen as a finalist for the county's most business-friendly city, a title that will be doled out at an award ceremony in November.

The award is an annual honor from the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, a non-profit organization that promotes equitable economic growth in the county.

The award will be handed out at an awards ceremony at SoFi Stadium on Nov. 9 in two different size categories: cities with populations over and under 60,000 residents. Beverly Hills falls in the smaller category alongside: El Segundo, Lomita, Monrovia and Vernon.

"Every year, a blue-ribbon panel evaluates nominations submitted by the cities in LA County to recognize those cities which are doing the most to encourage job creation, facilitate ease-of-doing-business, and cutting through red tape. These awards generate great awareness for the cities that are recognized as finalists and winners for years to come" according to LAEDC website.

Last year, West Hollywood received the award for the smaller category and Palmdale received the bigger award.
