Beverly Hills Reminds Drivers, Pedestrians To Pay Attention

The city has painted new high-visibility crosswalks near all public schools in the area.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — As schools are returning to full session, the city of Beverly Hills are reminding motorists to watch out for pedestrians.

The city has recently painted high-visibility crosswalks near all Beverly Hills public schools to reminder drivers that pedestrians have the right of way.

Every year, prior to the start of the school year, the city refreshes the paint on the crosswalks, but this year, the city has added "continental bars" to increase the crosswalks' visibility. These painted lines run parallel to the path of travel and provide improved visibility, because motorists are able to see them from further away, according to the city.
