Brush Fire Breaks Out In Beverly Crest
Firefighters battled a fire that broke out Wednesday morning in Beverly Crest, just west of Coldwater Canyon Avenue.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters stopped forward progress of a brush fire that burned less than three-quarters of an acre in Beverly Crest Wednesday morning, just south of the Franklin Canyon Reservoir and west of Coldwater Canyon Drive.
Firefighters responded to a report of approximately 1 acre of "medium to heavy brush" burning slowly near the intersection of Lake and Beverly drives just after 11 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Just after noon, firefighters said they had contained the fire, which burned less than three quarters of an acre. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.

The LAFD was assisted in its response by the Beverly Hills Fire Department and Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority. The incident was determined to be in the jurisdiction of Los Angeles County Fire Department, which took over command of the fire in the afternoon.
