Lionel Ritchie's Home Targeted By Burglar: Report

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A man who broke into singer-songwriter Lionel Ritchie's home — but was scared off by the security alarm — was arrested early Friday morning, according to a report.

Officers responded to a 911 call from the musician's home just after midnight. The caller reported an intruder was on the property, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Responding officers found the suspect a few blocks away, near Wilshire and Beverly Glen boulevards. Michael John Bond, 38, was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary, the station reported.

Security cameras at Ritchie's property captured the suspect entering the home and leaving, apparently frightened off by the security alarm, NBC Los Angeles reported.
