BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Israel Bachar, the consul general of Israel in Los Angeles, will speak at the Beverly Hills City Council meeting on Tuesday.
After the diplomat's address, the council is set to dive into a busy agenda. Here's what the council will discuss and/or vote on:
- Changes to city law the would allow medical cannabis delivery businesses to operate. The change is necessary to abide by state law; city officials do not intend to allow other kinds of cannabis businesses in the city, such as those with storefronts.
- A resolution in support of Israel following Hamas' attack on the country
- Changes to city campaign finance law, including raising the voluntary expenditure ceiling from $80,000 to $100,000.
The City Council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting will also be broadcast live and on BHTV Channel 10. More information is available on the city's website.
