Magic Johnson Joins Bid To Buy The Washington Commanders: Report
The Lakers legend is part of a group that reportedly wants to buy the NFL's Washington Commanders.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA —Magic Johnson is among a group of investors who are attempting to buy the NFL's Washington Commanders, Sportico reported Monday.
The group also includes Josh Harris, co-owner of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and NHL's New Jersey Devils, according to the sports publication, which quoted "multiple people familiar with negotiations."
Johnson, whose Magic Johnson Enterprises is based in Beverly Hills, is a part owner of the L.A. Dodgers, the WNBA's L.A. Sparks and the Los Angeles Football Club. The company did not immediately return a request for comment.

Johnson's vast business interests also include theaters, Starbucks franchises, EquiTrust, a financial services company, and SodexoMAGIC, a food service and facilities management company.
Johnson was also part of the Harris-led group that tried but failed to purchase the Denver Broncos last year. ESPN reported the Broncos eventually sold for a $4.65 billion.
