Man Dies After Falling From A Tree In Beverly Hills

It was not immediately clear why the man was in the tree, and police say there was no indication he was a tree trimmer.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A man fell to death from a tree in Beverly Hills Thursday.

The Beverly Hills Police Department responded to multiple calls Thursday around 3 p.m. at Coldwater Canyon Drive near North Beverly Drive, according to BHPD.

Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the man dead. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The incident was initially reported as a traffic collision and prompted an hours-long Sig Alert closing Coldwater Canyon in both directions between North Beverly Drive and 1130 Coldwater Canyon Drive, according to California Highway Patrol.

It was not immediately clear why the man climbed the tree, and there was no indication the man was a tree trimmer, according to NBC News 4.
