Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Near UCLA Campus ID'd
A 30-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle on Sunset Boulevard.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A 30-year-old man who was killed when he lost control of a motorcycle and crashed into a car on Sunset Boulevard was publicly identified Sunday.
Steven Davenport was a Sacramento resident as is the woman riding on the motorcycle with him who was injured in the crash.
The 2:15 p.m. July 1 crash occurred at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Glenroy Avenue, near UCLA, according to Los Angeles Police Department traffic investigators.

The motorcycle was westbound in the left lane when the motorcyclist lost control, struck something in the roadway and then crashed into an eastbound Volvo, police said.
Davenport and the woman, were ejected from the motorcycle and hit the pavement, police said.

Paramedics took them both to a hospital, where Davenport was pronounced dead and the woman was treated for her injuries, according to police.
The woman driving the Volvo called for help and remained at the scene, investigators said.
