Pipeline Repairs Prompt Call For Water Conservation In Beverly Hills
A major pipeline is being shut off for three days in November, requiring the city to switch to a local water supply.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA — City residents are being asked to be particularly mindful about their water use for three days next month due to planned repairs to a major pipeline that delivers water to Beverly Hills.
Customers across the Beverly Hills service area are being asked to conserve water from Nov. 6-8 as crews from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California conduct pipeline repairs, city officials said.
The city will be using water supplies from its own reservoirs and water treatment plant while the work is being performed, creating a need for water conservation at the residential level, officials aid.
