Police Blotter: Burglaries, Assaults and a Pair of Garage Thefts

It's a week of police blotters on Beverly Hills Patch. Today we are finishing off July's reported crimes. We close last month with some burglaries, assaults and store thefts.
Through the window
Between July 24 and 26, two 20-year-old men entered a property on the 900 block of North Alpine Avenue. The suspects allegedly gained access to the premises through an open gate, climbed through an unsecured window, pried open a door and removed property. The victim reported a loss of $3,025.

Off your back
Between 7 and 8 p.m. on July 25, a victim reported being robbed by a black-haired man of about 25 years old in the area of South Crescent Drive and Wilshire Boulevard. The suspect, who was described as being 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 140 pounds, allegedly approached the victim from behind, grabbed his backpack off his shoulders and fled. The victim reported a loss of $775.

Watch me go
At 2:30 p.m. on July 26, a man entered a business on the 300 block of North Canon Drive and asked to try on a watch. After putting the watch on his wrist, the suspect ran out the front door. The victim reported a loss of $15,000.
Garage hits
Two thefts from subterranean garages on the 200 block of South Gale Drive reportedly occurred on the night of July 26. In both cases someone entered the underground garages, gained access to cars and removed property.
Violent argument
Between 2:30 and 3 a.m. on July 27, someone allegedly assaulted another person on the 300 block of South Palm Drive. The assailant attempted to provoke a verbal argument with the victim and when the latter refused, the suspect began to physically attack the victim.
Cooking up a plan
During the night of July 28, a house was ransacked on the 100 block of South Swall Drive. Someone is believed to have entered the residence by removing the screen from an open bay window and climbing inside the kitchen. The victim reported a loss of $144,500.
Bag it
Just after 2 p.m. on July 29, a man described as being about 30 years old, 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing 175 pounds stole goods from a store on the 9600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. The suspect allegedly removed items from a display rack and table, placed the merchandise inside a shopping bag and exited the store without paying. The victim reported a loss of $1,500.
Car confrontation
At 1:40 a.m. on July 29, a man described as being about 30 years old, 6-feet tall and 160 pounds, with green eyes and strawberry-blond hair, allegedly assaulted another person in the area of Benedict Canyon and Sunset Boulevard. The victim reported being forced out of a car after a verbal argument with the suspect.
Bike nab
Between 7 and 9 p.m. on July 31, someone stole an unsecured bike from an alley on the 300 block of South Camden Drive. The victim reported a loss of $1,200.
