Resident Allegedly Caught with 24 Pounds of Pot

A Beverly Hills resident was arrested in Indiana after police allegedly found 24 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, according to media reports.
Lance B. Neely, 34, remained locked up Tuesday in the Henry County Jail as he faces one count of dealing in marijuana, according to The Palladium-Item, a newspaper based in Richmond, Ind.
The newspaper's website reported that Neely was pulled over around 1:20 p.m. Monday in Henry County, near the town of New Lisbon, Ind., for improper lane usage. Upon inspection by a Richmond Police Department patrolman, a probable cause search warrant was obtained to search Neely's Dodge Charger, after which a K-9 unit allegedly detected the drugs.

In Indiana, dealing in marijuana is a Class C felony punishable by two to eight years' incarceration and up to a $10,000 fine.
