Suge Knight to Judge: 'My Appendix Was Busted'

The former rap mogul told the judge he is being plagued by medical problems. Knight has been hospitalized several times since his arrest.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Marion "Suge" Knight -- who is jailed while awaiting trial in separate cases in which the former rap mogul is charged with murder and robbery -- told a judge Wednesday that he continues to be plagued by medical problems, including a ruptured appendix.

"My appendix was busted," Knight told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen.

The 50-year-old defendant, who said he is also dealing with an abscess, has been hospitalized on multiple occasions since his arrest in January 2015.

He is awaiting trial on one count each of murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run for allegedly killing 55-year-old Terry Carter and injuring Cle "Bone" Sloan on Jan. 29, 2015, in the parking lot of Tam's Burgers in the 1200 block of West Rosecrans Avenue. He is due back in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom next Wednesday for a pretrial hearing in that case.

He is charged separately, along with comedian Micah "Katt" Williams, in a robbery case in which the two are accused of taking a camera from a female paparazzo in September 2014. That case is due back in court June 21.
