Dive Into Beverly Hills' Government As Part of Team Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Interested in getting involved in city government? Or just curious about how it all works? The city is now accepting applications for its popular Team Beverly Hills program.
Created in 1996, the program offers residents a hands-on look at local government operations. It includes class sessions and behind-the-scenes experiences in countless city departments, from public works to public safety.
Some 750 residents have completed the program, including over 70 percent of current elected officials and city commissioners, according to the city.

Fifty residents will be selected for the upcoming cohort: 30 appointed by the City Council, 18 selected by lottery and two selected by the Beverly Hills Unified School District. Additionally, the City Council will appoint five representatives from the business community.
