Tree Trimmer Killed By Electrocution Identified

LOS ANGELES, CA - A 49-year- old tree trimmer who was killed in the Beverlywood area of Los Angeles in a likely electrocution was identified Thursday by county authorities.
Firefighters responded to the 9300 block of W. Kirkside Road, a few blocks south of Pico Boulevard, at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday regarding a technical rescue, which resulted in a fatality, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim, identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Javier Lopez Mila, was suspended above the ground and below high-voltage wires.

The power was shut down in the area by officials from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as fire crews assessed Lopez Mila, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
