Watch: Horse Runs For Its Life From CA Fire

In video footage, cameras caught a horse trotting down a road in an attempt to save itself from the flames.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A video of a horse fleeing from a California wildfire has surfaced on the Internet, showing viewers the impact of just one of the fires raging through the region.

The horse is seen running to save its life from the Creek Fire, a wildfire burning in Los Angeles County that has scorched 11,000 acres as of Wednesday morning. The fire has so far forced the evacuation of more than 150,000 people and has burned at least 30 homes.

The Creek Fire is one of many wildfires burning in Southern California. The biggest fire is in Ventura County, which began Monday night, and has burned nearly 65,000 acres, forcing the evacuation of 27,000 people.

The wildfires have been fueled by erratic Santa Ana winds, with some as fast as 65 mph, according to officials. Forecasters said the winds are only expected to worsen on Thursday and Friday.
