#WhyWeWearBlack: Celebrities To Protest At Golden Globes
Celebrities are planning a massive protest at the Golden Globes in an effort to speak out against sexual assault.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Celebrities on Sunday planned a massive protest at the Golden Globes where they plan to wear black to speak out against sexual assault. The protest comes as Hollywood endures a whirlwind year in which dozens of victims of spoke out, most notably against disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein.
Among the celebrities expected to wear black include Kerry Washington, Alyssa Milano and Eva Longoria, who all tweeted about the protest using the hashtag #WhyWeWearBlack. They urged other people to join the movement in an effort to combat sexual violence.
The women are also a part of the Time's Up movement, a campaign aimed at providing safe workplaces. Those planning to wear black will also wear Time's Up pins.

The protest comes as more and more victims among Hollywood's elite speak out against some of the most powerful players in the industry. The flood of accusations came after power player Weinstein was accused by A-list celebrities of misconduct. Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey and "Crash" director Paul Haggis are among other men accused of sexual assault.
The accusations weren't limited to the entertainment industry. Journalists Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose were also accused of misconduct, while fingers have also been pointed to politicians.
