• Brea council approves revenue-sharing agreement with local developer to court a Costco (ocregister.com) — Brea’s City Council has approved a 50‑year revenue‑sharing deal with local developer Dwight Manley to try to bring a Costco to the Beckman Coulter site on South Kraemer Street. The agreement would reimburse a large share of future Costco sales tax to offset Manley’s purchase and development costs, while reserving a slice for Brea Senior Center programs and raising questions about traffic and long‑term financial risk.
