Brentwood San Vicente Blvd Road Repaving in Progress

Remember my June 12 warning that San Vicente Boulevard at 26th Street is all dug up and exposed?

Thanks to reader alerts Friday, June 21, Patch learned the city's  Bureau of Street Services is cold milling and paving the roadway through the weekend. Cold milling is the process of removing old asphalt and concrete to desired depth.

Brentwood Patch Twitter and Facebook users sent alerts Friday morning of traffic detours and commuter headaches. Detours send traffic intermittently onto Burlingame Avenue

The DPW says the exact stretch of roadway is: San Vicente Boulevard from Santa Monica city limits to Bundy Drive (south); Avondale Avenue from San Vicente Boulevard to Brentwood Terrrace; Brentwood Terrace from Santa Monica city limits to Burlingame Avenue.
