The pre-existing Sunset Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound 405 will be demolished from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., from Thursday, June 27 to Tuesday morning, July 2, according to Metro.
This bridge demolition is to remove the pre-existing ramp’s bridge superstructure and abutment walls.
Demolition work will require the nighttime closure of the new northbound 405 Sunset Boulevard on-ramp and the existing northbound Sunset off-ramp, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The new Sunset Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound 405 opened on Saturday, June 22.
Metro says this work will utilize a full Sepulveda Boulevard nighttime closure from Montana Avenue to Church Lane/Ovada Place. This full nighttime closure of Sepulveda has been on-going for three months.
