Be Wary of Road Closures
Through May and early June, portions of California Drive will close for water main repair.
Burlingame drivers frequenting California Drive will notice some road closures this month. Rather than getting annoyed, be prepared by knowing what sections of the road will close when.
- On May 1 through May 15, California Drive will be closed between Cambridge Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.
- On May 15 through May 25, California Drive will be closed between Grove Avenue and Juanita Avenue.
- On May 21 through June 15, California Drive will be closed between Lincoln Avenue and Broadway.
The closures are due to the replacement of about 2,500 feet of an 80-year-old water main along the road. During the construction, the road will be closed in both directions.
All dates are tentative and detour signs will be provided throughout the closures, which typically will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
