BHS Newspaper Students Launch Website
For the first time in Burlingame B history, the student newspaper will have an online presence.

Hot off of the virtual presses comes the latest news out of Burlingame High School. The Burlingame B, BHS's student newspaper, officially launches its website Friday.
"It has been a work in progress for about the past six months, so it really means a lot that all of our work will finally be shown to everyone," said Burlingame B editor and Patch blogger Chelsea Surmanek in an e-mail. "It is truly a milestone in our newspaper's history."
The Burlingame B boasts a staff of 17 reporters, four editors, a web master and business manager under adviser Linda McLaughlin. The group has been working since May 2011 on creating a website.

The site will be regularly updated, bringing students and community members news on everything from Burlingame High sports, arts, academics, student government and more.
The Burlingame B was first published in 1925 and is now debuting on the online scene.

"It is truly a breakthrough for us," Surmanek said.
