
Do you know a volunteer working towards academic excellence in Burlingame schools? The Burlingame School District is asking for nominations for its annual H. Jay Burns Award, which recognizes volunteers who help maintain and improve the quality of education in Burlingame.
The award is named for H. Jay Burns, a former trustee who served BSD for 24 years. The selected, non-employee volunteer must fit the following criteria:
1) service to the district at large for a substantial period of time

2) positive impact on the education of the Burlingame School children
3) demonstration of leadership skills on behalf of Burlingame students

In June, the school board will recognize the award recipient at a meeting.
Nominations must include the nominee’s name, address, telephone number, a brief description of the reason for the nomination, and the name, address, email address and telephone number of the person sending in the nomination. Please refrain from informing the nominee of the nomination.
