Burlingame Student Charged In BHS Bomb Threat

The student was charged in connection to a February 10 bomb threat that led to a lock down and evacuation.

The female student arrested in connection with a bomb threat at in on Friday, February 10 was charged Tuesday with a misdemeanor of making a false bomb report.

The student, 18-year-old Christine Nicole Azzolino, was believed to have sent a message to BHS administrators from a male student’s email account alleging he had a bomb and gun. The email resulted in a two-hour lock down and evacuation of the school.

The male student said his email account was used without his knowledge when he was logged into his email on a school computer but had briefly walked away.

The male student was detained during the evacuation, and no weapons or suspicious materials were found to be in his possession. Four bomb-detecting dogs searched the school premises, but no bomb was found.

The plea entry was delayed until March 28. Attorney Jeff Jackson has been retained for the case.

Azzolino is out of custody on $50,000 bail.
