Hillsborough Vegetation Fire Contained, Traffic Closures Lifted
A shelter-in-place order was issued just before 1 p.m. in the area and traffic was closed on Crystal Springs Road.

HILLSBOROUGH, CA — A vegetation fire in Hillsborough near Crystal Springs Terrace was quickly contained Tuesday afternoon, according to fire officials.
A shelter-in-place order was issued just before 1 p.m. in the area and traffic was closed on Crystal Springs Road between El Cerrito Avenue and Woodridge Road.
Around 1:45 p.m., officials reported the fire contained with no damage to any structures and traffic closures lifted, though emergency vehicles remained on scene.

The Central County Fire Department and the Hillsborough Police Department responded to the scene. Cal Fire CZU and the San Mateo County Fire Department also assisted.

Fire officials did not specify the size of the fire.
