Additional police news:
Detectives are searching for at least two suspects who burglarized a home in Burlingame Wednesday morning, San Mateo County authorities said. The burglars pried open the sliding-glass rear door of a home in the 1500 block of Columbus Avenue at around 10:30 a.m.
They ransacked the home and took numerous items, authorities said. The suspects were seen driving away from the area in a dark blue or black Honda or Acura that had a license plate with the last three numbers 415, authorities said.
The suspects were described as being in their early 20s, of medium height, with medium complexions. County authorities are warning residents of a pattern of burglaries in the surrounding area and cities in which suspects pry open rear sliding doors to enter the home. They advise inserting a wooden dowel in sliding doors and window tracks as an added precaution.
