Need a New Challenge? Drive Less
Could you spend two weeks finding alternative means of transportation besides driving?

f someone challenged you to spend less time in your car for two weeks, could you do it? Earth Day--April 22--marks the beginning of the fourth annual Drive Less Challenge, and organizers want you to drop the car keys and get involved.
“[The Challenge is] designed to lure drivers out of their cars for a two week period,” said resident and member of the Traffic Safety and Parking Commission Jeff Londer at a Burlingame City Council meeting. “We all have a role in protecting our environment, especially when it comes to reducing car travel.”
The Drive Less Challenge started in 2009 in Menlo Park and has since expanded to include nine cities, locally promoted by the Burlingame Citizens Environmental Council.
