Police Blotter: Girl Problems and Stolen Hydrant

Saturday, Jan. 14

3:28 a.m. Fifteen subjects were reported as being loud along the waterfront at the 100 block of Anza Boulevard. They were identified and sent on their way.

5:01 p.m. A citizen reported hearing what sounded like a gunshot coming from Mills Canyon. The area was checked, and nothing was found.

5:23 p.m. A resident reported hearing a male yelling at a dog at Floribunda Avenue and Primrose Road. Both were gone when police arrived.

Sunday, Jan. 15

2:05 a.m. A resident reported a fight on the 1100 block of Chula Vista Avenue. The two said they are friends and arguing about girl problems.

3:59 p.m. An alarm was sounding at a home on the 1500 block of Alturas Drive. The wind had blown a door open. Everything was ok.

6:41 p.m. There was a report of glass breaking on the 1900 block of Garden Drive. Police found no sign of damage.

Monday, Jan. 16

11:13 a.m. Residents reported a vehicle had been parked in front of their 1000 block of Pepper Avenue residence for weeks. Police determined the vehicle had been stolen and it was released to its owner.

11:38 a.m. A stray dog was found on the 1100 block of Bernal Avenue. The dog was found and returned to its owner.

5:50 p.m. A fire hydrant and alarm box were stolen from the 300 block of Lexington Way.

Tuesday, Jan. 17

12:16 p.m. A subject was taking 100 sandbags from the 1300 block of California Drive. The subject was advised on the 20 bag maximum.

1:46 p.m. A tenant on the 500 block of Airport Boulevard claimed the landlord changed the locks. The landlord said the tenant was legally evicted.

11:21 p.m. An iPad was stolen from the 300 block of Lorton Avenue.
