Police Blotter: Rental Car Returned With Bullet Hole and More

Friday, March 23
10:16 a.m. A storage unit on the 2200 block of Hillside Drive was creating a traffic hazard.
11:49 a.m. A transient was reportedly potentially living in the laundry room of an apartment complex on the 1800 block of Ogden Drive. No one was found when police arrived.

2:54 p.m. A blind man was walking in the street on the 1000 block of Oak Grove Avenue. He was gone when police arrived.

1:55 a.m. A resident on the 2900 block of Frontera Way said he thought he heard someone walking in his front yard.
10:46 a.m. A stolen vehicle was reported from the 1200 block of Paloma Avenue. Officers discovered the car had not been stolen, rather the owners forgot where they parked it.
3:03 p.m. Graffiti was found in a restaurant bathroom on the 300 block of California Drive.
Sunday, March 25
12:25 a.m. Cash and sunglasses were stolen from a car on the 3100 block of Frontera Way.
6:55 a.m. There was a report of vandalism to a lawn on the 1100 block of Airport Boulevard.
10:48 a.m. Luggage was found in the parking lot of the 200 block of Primrose Road.
Monday, March 26
8:37 a.m. A Caltrain crossing at California Drive and Oak Grove Avenue was knocked over by a motorist.
1:28 p.m. A rental car was returned to the 1400 block of Rollins Road with a bullet hole in it. Police determined the incident had taken place in Oakland.
8:09 p.m. There was a report of someone inside a closed business on the 1600 block of Rollins Road. Police determined the business was open and it was an employee.
