Police Blotter: Suspicious People in Bushes and Yards

Tuesday, May 15

8:00 a.m. A car was burglarized on the 700 block of Farringdon Lane sometime during the previous night. Jewelry, money and gift cards were taken.

5:05 p.m. There was a report of a wind surfer in distress, but when the surfer returned to shore, he said there was no merit to the distress call.

6:30 p.m. A subject said a business associate on the 1300 block of North Carolan Avenue assaulted him using a metal sign due to money owned. No arrests were made and police were investigating.

Wednesday, May 16

9:19 a.m. The sound of glass breaking was heard on the 1900 block of Garden Drive. Police determined a resident accidentally dropped a vase, and there was no crime.

12:32 p.m. There was a report of a suspicious person walking through backyards on the 0 block of Davis Court. The person was contacted and turned out to be a PG&E employee.

1:10 p.m. A big rig caused a traffic hazard while trying to turn and blocked traffic on the 1600 block of Rollins Road.

Thursday, May 17

8:19 a.m. A business was burglarized on the 300 block of Lorton Avenue overnight. The cash box was stolen.

6:54 p.m. There were minor scratched on a vehicle on the 1800 block of El Camino Real. The car owner believed the scratches were caused by a juvenile who touched the car earlier, but the juvenile was never located.

6:58 p.m. A large branch was reported on the road on the 300 block of Burlingame Avenue.

Friday, May 18

12:45 p.m. A male subject was reportedly climbing over a neighbor's backyard on the 2700 block of Trousdale Drive.

2:31 p.m. There was a report of a subject going into the bushes at a neighbor's house at Hillside Drive and Los Montes Drive. The homeowner believes it was his gardener.

7:34 p.m.A cell phone was stolen from a car on the 1300 block of Bayshore Highway.
