Police Seek Dash Cam Footage In Area Of Hillsborough Officer Shooting
A Hillsborough police officer was "ambushed" and shot by a gunman on Saturday afternoon but survived.
HILLSBOROUGH, CA — Hillsborough Police are looking for dash camera footage from motorists who may have been traveling in the area of the shooting of an officer this weekend, the department said Sunday.
Anyone who may have been driving on El Camino Real between Oak Grove and Bellevue avenues on Saturday between 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. who may have footage is asked to contact Sgt. Jose Ortiz at (650) 375-7561 or at jortiz@hillsborough.net.
A Hillsborough police officer was "ambushed" and shot by a gunman on Saturday afternoon but survived. The attack occurred about 3:49 p.m. at the police station, which is located with Town Hall at 1600 Floribunda Ave.

While the officer returned fire, it wasn't known whether he struck his assailant, police said.
The wounded officer was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and was expected to make a full recovery.

A person of interest was interviewed in South San Francisco, police said Sunday.
Officials thanked the community for its well wishes and support and its allied local, state and federal partners for their assistance.
