A lot of Burlingame residents this week have been talking about a potential land swap between the City of Burlingame and St. Catherine of Siena Church.
The church, which is adjacent to the parking lot, wants a portion of Parking Lot G on Primrose Road in order to build a multi-purpose facility. The City would get land on Highland Avenue in exchange.
Many Burlingame residents are concerned the 35 spots lost in Parking Lot G would leave those who frequent Primrose Road and Howard Avenue shops without adequate parking in the crowded downtown area where parking is already hard to come by.

Furthermore, residents are concerned that this proposal has not been widely publicized enough to the Burlingame community in order to gauge a response.
What do you think? Would the land swap be detrimental to downtown Burlingame business? Should more community input be considered? Would a swap leave residents with enough parking?
