Senior Focus Awarded $180,000 Grant
The Mills-Peninsula program focused on senior health and well being received a grant from the Peninsula Health Care District.

The Mills-Peninsula Senior Focus program received $180,000 two weeks ago when the Peninsula Health Care District awarded $2.15 million in grants to 19 health-focused organizations in San Mateo County.
“The grant will be applied to the Wise and Well and Adult Day Health and Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center,” said Senior Focus Director Maureen Dunn in a statement. “The Peninsula Health Care District has been a long-time supporter of Senior Focus. Previous grants have helped us provide essential care to seniors for 25 years, and this year’s grant builds on that success.”
The Wise and Well program aims to prevent chronic disease and to help those already suffering from a chronic disease manage it better. The Adult Day Health and Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center allows seniors to continue living with their families at home by providing health and social services at one location.
