Shelter Network Receives $25,000 Grant
Shelter Network, a Burlingame-based nonprofit, recently received a $25,000 grant from New York Life.

Burlingame-based has received a $25,000 grant from New York Life for the nonprofit’s Housing First Program.
The Housing First Program, launched in 2005, helps speed up the process of moving homeless individuals into permanent housing. The program helps homeless people and families who are employed and can afford rent, but lack all of the necessary resources for returning to housing. For example, the Housing First Program can provide funding for security deposits or one-time move-in costs.
Additionally, those participating in the program continue receiving support services from Shelter Network, which can monitor and help those at risk of becoming homeless again.
