Small Earthquake Jiggles Hillsborough

Nearly a dozen small earthquakes hit the vicinity this week, including a tiny one in Hillsborough.

Out of 11 small earthquakes around the vicinity this week, the largest was a magnitude 1.6 that hit 5 miles outside of East Foothills, according to data gathered by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Generally, earthquakes need to break the 2.0-mark on the scale to be felt far from the epicenter.
