Poem:
“I Really Don’t Like Poems”
I really don’t like poems,
so many poems are so hard to write,
not one is good, try as I might,
even if I try, I can’t get it right.
They say writing poems is just like painting,
but writing poems makes me start fainting.
Well, what’s the use of writing and painting,
if all you can do is just start fainting.
I tried to write one about birds,
but all I got were words.
And if you try to write about turds,
it’s just as hard as birds.
If you want to read more poems, you’ll know where to look.
The best place to try is in a poem book.
You can settle down in a little nook,
to read and read your poem book.
But none of those poems will be from me,
because I, you see,
really don’t like poetry.
