Teen Pleads Not Guilty in BHS Bomb Threat
The student accused of sending an email that sent Burlingame High School into lockdown on Feb. 10 entered a plea Wednesday.

A student whose threatening email concerning a bomb threat caused a lockdown at in February pleaded not guilty Wednesday to one misdemeanor count of making a false bomb threat, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.
The student, 18-year-old Christine Nicole Azzolino, is accused of sending a message to BHS administrators from a male student’s email account claiming he had a bomb and gun. The email resulted in a two-hour lock down and evacuation of the school.
The male student said his email account was used without his knowledge when he was logged into his email on a school computer but had briefly walked away.

The male student was detained during the evacuation, and no weapons or suspicious materials were found to be in his possession. Four bomb-detecting dogs searched the school premises, but no bomb was found.
When Azzolino was arrested on Feb. 13, she allegedly told investigators that she had no intention of carrying out the threat, according to the district attorney's office.

The teenager is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on June 12.
Azzolino is out of custody on $50,000 bail.
