Week Ahead: Council Meeting and Movies in the Park

What's on tap for Burlingame news this week? Take a look at what's happening around town. We'll be there to cover it.

  • The City Council meets Monday at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Members will discuss an ordinance further restricting the use of leaf blowers in town and dog off-leash hours in Washington Park.
  • Burlingame High School students kick off the new school year Tuesday. Classes start at 10 a.m. and run until 3:12 p.m. for the first day.
  • The Parks and Recreation Commission meets Thursday at 7 p.m.
  • Movies in the Park begins Friday at 8 p.m. in Washington Park. The first movie in this three week series is Despicable Me.
  • The City of Burlingame Traffic Safety and Parking Commission, Burlingame Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee, and the Citizens Environmental Council will host a Bicycle Safety Workshop Saturday. Find out more here.
