Calabasas Event Will Focus On Teen Social Media Use And Mental Health
Hear from experts about teens' social media use and its relationship to mental health, addiction and the family.
CALABASAS, CA — An educational event Tuesday night in Calabasas will focus on teens' social media use and its relationship to mental health, addiction and the family.
The panel discussion, hosted by nonprofit ONE Recovery and funded by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, will take place at Calabasas High School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It will also be streamed live online.
It's part of a six-event series featuring experts discussing specific areas of concern around adolescent mental health and the family, highlighting the importance of early intervention as a step toward prevention, according to organizers.

The Calabasas event, focused on social media use, will be led by Dr. Bob Gabbay, the 2022 president of the American Psychological Association's Society for Media Psychology and Technology.
He'll be joined by Angela Carrillo, CEO of Brass Tacks Recovery; John Lieberman, COO of Visions Teen; and Ryan Blivas of Key Healthcare.
