Calabasas Man Falls Off Forbes Richest List

CALABASAS, CA — Golden State residents are well-represented on Forbes' 2023 World's Billionaires list — 180 Californians made the cut on the list released Wednesday.

But one former billionaire and Calabasas local is notably absent from the ranking: Ye, formerly known as Kayne West.

Last year Forbes valued West's fortune at $2 billion. But he's apparently lost a whopping $1.6 billion in net worth since then. Forbes says he's now worth $398 million.

West, who has recently faced a very public battle with mental illness, also made headlines Wednesday related to a lawsuit filed against him by his former business manager.
