Calabasas Service Providers Will Address Recent Outages, Issues
Calabasas City Council will address recent utility issues in the city with service representatives.

CALABASAS, CA — Calabasas utility providers will address recent outages in the city at an upcoming service-focused City Council meeting.
At 7 p.m. on March 8, representatives from utility companies like the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, AT&T and Southern California Edison have been invited to participate in a city council meeting. The meeting will be held in person at the Council Chambers in City Hall and streamed online.

Residents have seen a number of issues with phone service and water infrastructure in recent months. In January, residents experienced prolonged AT&T service issues after heavy rains damaged towers and underground vaults, according to the city of Calabasas. Repairs were expected to start in mid-January.
On Feb. 4, a 14" water main broke around Parkway Calabasas and Park Entrada, prompting road closures and trapping some drivers, according to Calabasas Mayor David Shapiro. The water was eventually turned off for repairs, causing some residents to lose their water for hours.

In early February, some Calabasas residents had a major power outage.
