DUI Arrests Drop in Latest Checkpoint
Only one person is taken into custody during a sobriety checkpoint in Calabasas on Friday night, down from four at the last inspection.

One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Friday night at a checkpoint on Las Virgenes Road near Meadow Creek Lane.
That's three less DUI arrests than the last checkpoint set up by Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station deputies Aug. 7.
The most recent checkpoint ran from 7 p.m. Friday until about 1 a.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Phillip Brooks.

A total of 1,629 cars passed through the checkpoint, and 1,552 drivers were stopped for inspection, Brooks said.
One person was arrested on an unspecified felony warrant, he added.

Eighteen people were issued citations for driving without a license or a revoked license, and 11 drivers had their vehicles impounded, Brooks said.
