Logan Kurtz: Speaking Out About Tourette Syndrome

Whiz Kid's Accomplishment:  Started a Tourette's Syndrome awareness page on Facebook.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Logan has had Tourette's since he was four years old. He embraces it, always welcoming questions from other kids regarding why his mouth twitches or other parts of his body jerk. In September 2010, Logan launched a Facebook page called, "Help Spread the Word About Tourettes Syndrome."

He has garnered almost 500 followers since starting the page. The Tourette's Syndrome Association contacted Logan last fall, interviewed him and will feature him in the TSA national Spring 2011 newsletter as one of its "Heroes." Logan is currently developing a Web site about Tourette's.
