Los Angeles Co. Sheriff To Chat Safety With Calabasas Residents
Sheriff Alex Villanueva will talk community safety with Calabasas residents on Thursday.

CALABASAS , CA — Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva will talk public safety with the Calabasas community Thursday.
The discussion will take place virtually from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday. The discussion can be viewed using this link, or you can listen in by calling 213-306-3065 with the access code 2494-203-7518.
Villanueva will be joined by the Lost Hills station captain Salvador Beccera.

The month of November saw a 33 percent increase in "part one" crimes in Calabasas, which includes: criminal homicide, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny theft, motor vehicle theft and arson, according to the sheriff's department.
There were 11 residential burglaries in November, which is really high for Calabasas, said deputy sheriff Mason De Matteo in his crime report at the Jan. 12 city council meeting. The city also had eight non-residential burglaries in cars and businesses.
