Man Who Died After Being Pinned Between Two Cars In Calabasas Identified by Authorities
The victim was exiting his vehicle in a parking lot at the time of the crash, police said.
CALABASAS, CA — The man who was killed when a vehicle speeding into a parking lot in Calabasas struck a parked vehicle, pinning the man between both vehicles, was identified by authorities Tuesday.
Eric Hamermesh, 68, of McKinney, Texas was identified as the victim of the Sept. 2 crash by the Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner's Office.
The crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on the 26400 block of Rondell Street. A vehicle entered the parking lot from Las Virgenes Road, "accelerated uncontrollably" and colliding with a parked vehicle, according the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Hamermesh, who was exiting his parked vehicle, was pinned between both vehicles. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
