New Executive Director Chosen For Community Center

CALABASAS, CA — Brianne Anderson has been named the new Executive Director of the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, the City of Calabasas announced this week.

In her role, Anderson will manage the Community Center’s day-to-day operations. She is the sixth person to serve in this position, the press release said.

"I am excited to join the amazing staff and Board that have created a special center that is a jewel in the community, and I look forward to expanding AHCCC’s outreach and programs for the members and the community," Anderson said.

The Community Center, which first opened to the public in 1999, is a recreational facility owned and operated by Calabasas and Agoura Hills via a Joint Powers Authority. It's governed by a Board of Directors consisting of representatives from both cities, the press release said.

Anderson is familiar with the area, as she most recently worked as Community Services Manager for the City of Westlake Village. Anderson's selection was confirmed by a formal vote of the Board of Directors at its August 22 meeting, the press release said.

"After a comprehensive search, the Board is very pleased to welcome Brianne Anderson to this important position," Calabasas City Councilmember James R. Bozajian, who serves as Chairman of the Board that runs the Joint Powers Authority, said. "Her background and experience will provide the Community Center with steady, capable leadership in the years ahead."
