• CAL FIRE Names Wood Chief of Unit (therivervalleytimes.com) — Camino residents should know that CAL FIRE has appointed David Wood as the new chief of the Amador-El Dorado Unit, based in Camino, effective December 19 after a transition period. Wood brings three decades of fire service experience, including leadership roles across CAL FIRE and extensive incident management work, and lives with his family in El Dorado County.
