2 Arrested After July Double-Shooting In San Jose: Police
Two men were injured after police allege one suspect fired his handgun during an altercation at an unsanctioned car event.

SAN JOSE, CA — Detectives in San Jose have arrested two men wanted in connection with a double shooting at an unsanctioned car show in July, police announced Wednesday.
Police said reports of a shooting came in a few minutes before 11 p.m. on July 20 from a gas station near Monterey Road and Southside Drive. Officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, and police said preliminary evidence showed a fight broke out before the shooting.
According to investigators a man who was not involved in the fight approached the group, pulled out a handgun and fired into the air before shooting at one of the victims. Police said two men were injured, including one victim who suffered serious injuries.

Police said a follow-up investigation led detectives to a primary and secondary suspect, who were both taken into custody on Aug. 28. Damian Flores, 26, of Union City, was arrested in San Jose and booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder. Nicholas Perez, 27, of Fremont, was arrested in Campbell and jailed on suspicion of acting as an accessory to attempted murder.
