South Bay Burglary Crew Investigation Nets 3 Arrests

The crew used Honda Odyssey minivans during the burglaries, according to police.

SAN JOSÉ, CA — Three members of a South Bay crew were arrested this month, San José police said.

Marcelino Bejarano, 25, Santiago Cabuag, 25, and Ricky Bejarano, 23 (all of San José) were arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of commercial burglary and outstanding warrants and booked into Santa Clara County jail, police said.

The crew members were sought in connection with a series of burglaries going back to March, police said.

The suspects broke into businesses during late night or early morning hours and stole merchandise, cash registers, and ATM machines, police said.

They would enter businesses through the front door or window by using blunt objects, crowbars, or crashing through with a stolen vehicle, police said.

The crew used Honda Odyssey minivans during the burglaries, according to police.

The crew over the summer torched a white Honda Odyssey used in several commercial burglaries from March to July after a local news agency released video surveillance footage of vehicle, police said.

But the crew remained active, acquiring a new Odyssey as it continued victimizing local businesses through October, police said.
