3 South Bay Eateries Recognized For Elite Breakfast Sandwiches
Restaurants, bakeries and pop-ups in Santa Clara County are whipping up some of the Bay's "must-try" breakfast sandwiches.
CAMPBELL, CA — Santa Clara County is home to many of the Bay Area's best breakfast sandwiches, according to food reviewers at The Mercury News.
The newspaper recently unveiled its picks for nine must-try spots around the region, including morning bites in San Jose, Santa Clara, Campbell, Los Gatos and Palo Alto.
Already boasting a strong regional fan base, the breakfast street-food specialists Hash 'N' Dash made the cut. The Mercury highlighted the pop-up's viral sensation "408 Smash," a smash burger-inspired take on the classic Sausage and Egg McMuffin. Hash 'N'Dash typically rotates between coffee houses in San Jose and Campbell, and daily details are shared on its Instagram.

With bakeries in Los Gatos, Palo Alto and Campbell, Manresa Bread got a shoutout for several selections, including a souffled Bacon, Egg and Cheese on a burger bun, and a Sausage, Egg and Cheese housed within a buttermilk biscuit.
Egghead Sando Café, with outposts in San Jose and Santa Clara, earned accolades for the many uses of its cage-free eggs — prepared scrambled, poached and over-medium — and Taiwanese-style fried chicken.
