Arson Suspect Arrested In San Jose

A man was taken into custody after police and firefighters responded to reports of a person setting fires in the Baton Rouge neighborhood.

SAN JOSE, CA — A man was taken into custody after police and firefighters responded to reports of a person setting fires in the Baton Rouge neighborhood of northeast San Jose on Saturday morning.

The fires were reported just before 11 a.m. near Capital Avenue and Marbury Road, police said on social media.

Officers and firefighters mobilized to put out the blazes and canvassed the area for a suspect, who was arrested, police said.
